I’ve always been creative. I’ve been lucky that I’ve been able to choose creative subjects at school and college. From choosing 3D art at GCSE, then Sculpture and Ceramics at A Level, I went on to study my Art Foundation at De Montfort University, concentrating on 3D art.
Loving all aspects of 3D art, I chose The University Of Hertfordshire studying Applied Arts. This covered a wide range of contemporary crafts including ceramics, textiles, and jewellery. When it came to specialising, I chose ceramics.
After university, I was in great need of a creative outlet. I came across the adult evening classes at Eskimo Blue. I quickly signed up, and met the owner Charlotte. We got on well and Charlotte invited me to use the studio for my own work on a weekly basis. I’m now a member of the Eskimo Blue family, using the studio space, as well as helping with classes.
